LinkedCamp: Leverage B2B Sales Automation To Prospect On LinkedIn

LinkedIn continues to dominate as the primary network and connection tool I utilize daily to connect with customers, prospects, employees, job candidates, and partners. Social media can be pretty dicey with social and political conversations, so I appreciate that LinkedIn remains focused on business-to-business engagement. I know some folks like to dabble there with personal updates, but for the most part, it’s been gratifying to see it go unpolluted with divisiveness.

What Is LinkedIn Sales Automation?

While I tend to use LinkedIn on a one-to-one messaging and connection level, I have tested the waters with LinkedIn Automation. Automation has provided me the means to build segmentation on LinkedIn for companies that I’m interested in either partnering with or working for – then sending applicable employees an introduction to review my profile, connect with me, and set up a meeting.

There are a couple challenges with this.:

  • LinkedIn’s free platform has limitations for your ability to query and identify prospects. For this reason, you’ll most likely need to upgrade to LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Even if you are utilizing an automation platform as we describe below, you’ll need to purchase a LinkedIn Sales Navigator license for unlimited searches.
  • LinkedIn Automation platforms allow you to build campaigns where you can make multiple attempts to connect and message your prospects using LinkedIn messaging.
